Archaeological and ethnographic artifacts are preserved and exhibited in two sections, was opened in 1967. Works to increase the storage of the ancient cities in the region and over time gave birth to the necessity of opening a museum and the Archaeological Museum was opened today.
The first opening of the museum, in the region, but not yet seen the ruins, Anatolia is necessary for completion of the chronology of Ancient Bronze, Urartu, Frig and Lidya artifacts from the period, bringing the Ankara Anatolian Civilizations Museum, the archaeological section of the exhibition is presented. Located in the vicinity of Alanya and BC Phoenician language inscriptions dating from 625 in the region as one of the most ancient artifacts are exhibited in our museum. The second part of the ethnographic section of the Turkish Islamic works of art and artifacts of the period transferred to the Directorate of Primary Education and collected from around Alanya and ethnographic characteristics of the region, reflecting the Nomad rugs, alaçuvallar, bags, garments, processing samples, weapons, daily-use containers, jewelry, manuscripts and writing sets with such objects are exhibited in the Alanya house forming part of the day room. In addition, the museum in the garden of the Roman, Byzantine and Islamic periods, and stone monuments of mosaic exhibitions.
