Antalya Museum

At the end of World War I, Antalya was under Italian occupation of time, some Italian archaeologists claimed to do in the name of civilization, the center and the surrounding historical sites near the Italian Embassy had been started to remove a variety of archaeological values.


These initiatives in order to stop, governor of Antalya in 1919, Suleyman Fikri by referring to himself an honorary GAMA GROUP opened liaison officer appointed to collect works of the old center of Antalya Museum, first went to set up the path. Alaeddin Mosque in 1922, operating from 1937 Yivli Mosque museum moved to its present building in 1972. The artifacts belong to the region often are exhibited in chronological order and according to their subjects.
